The video is shared with a caption claiming that Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff went to the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh.
A social media user shared the video with a caption that reads, “Don’t know in which form God will appear: Mahakumbh Prayagraj. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.” (Translated from Hindi)
SouthCheck found that the claim is false. The viral video is old and it shows the actors visiting BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi.
On a Google reverse image search, we found the viral video shared by India Today on their Facebook account on April 10, 2024. The video was shared with a caption that reads, “Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff offer prayers at the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi.”
The viral video was shared on YouTube by BAPS UAE on April 16, 2024, with a caption that reads, “We were happy to host renowned Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar & Tiger Shroff at the BAPS Hindu Mandir, Abu Dhabi. They felt inspired by the story of the mandir in the desert - the impossible becoming possible in a short time despite the challenges. Moreover, they were overwhelmed by the sense of divinity that they experienced here.”
The incident was also published by BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Abu Dhabi. The report stated that Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, along with Vashu Bhagnani, a prominent film producer, visited the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on 8 April 2024 for darshan, prayers, and blessings.
The Times of India also reported their visit on April 9, 2024. The report stated that Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, who went to Abu Dhabi to promote their upcoming action entertainer ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, have sought blessings at the BAPS Hindu Mandir.
Hence, we can ascertain that the viral claim is false.
