The CJP officially called off its 36-day protest on July 25, 2026, after the Centre accepted its three key demands, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. CJP leaders announced the decision at Jantar Mantar and asked protesters to return home peacefully while stating that their broader campaign for education reforms would continue.
In the above context, a distressing video showing injured students lying on beds with visible wounds has gone viral on social media. The footage shows several young students with bandaged heads and bruised bodies speaking to the camera and has been shared widely with captions accusing Delhi Police of brutality against minors. In the video, they are saying how children were beaten.
SouthCheck found that the claim is false. The viral video shows students who were beaten by a hostel warden at CP International School in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh.
On observing the video, we can see that an Instagram ID is embedded in the video, which reads, ‘parulpatel4618.’ Using this clue, we searched and found that the video was shared from the same Instagram handle. The user had first uploaded the video on July 21 with a clear description stating that the warden of ‘CP International School’ had beaten the children, after which they required medical treatment.
Moreover, the video also revealed crucial audio evidence. In the footage, the injured children can be clearly heard mentioning their school’s name and identifying the person who assaulted them.
We further found that a hyperlocal news channel also reported on the incident on its Instagram page, The Farrukhabad Express, on July 22. In the full-length video, we can further see the visuals where parents were also seen inside the school protest.
Using this information, we searched with relevant keywords and found that the incident was also reported by Dainik Bhaskar. While the faces of the children have been blurred, we can see them carrying the same reports in their hands as seen in the viral video.
Moreover, an interview given by a kid was also seen in the original video. While the face is blurred, we can identify based on the black T-shirt, the text (DRIPPIN) written on the left side of the T-shirt, suggesting that both are the same.
The incident was also reported by News 18 on July 22.
According to the report, around 60 hostel students at CP International Public School in Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad accused their hostel warden of beating them with a PVC pipe after they made noise during a power outage. At least eight students were injured. Police detained the warden, while the school launched an internal inquiry and assured action.
Hence, we can ascertain that the viral claim is false.
