Fact Check

SouthCheck found that the claim was false. We found the video is of the Russia-Ukraine war.

On doing a Google reverse image search with one of the screenshots, we found the same video was uploaded by The Telegraph on March 24, 2024. The video was titled, ‘Huge explosions rock Sevastopol after the Ukrainian missile attack.’

The caption accompanying the video said, “The Ukrainian military said it has hit two large Russian warships as well as other facilities used by the Russian navy in the Black Sea.”

We found another YouTube channel, On Demand News, which uploaded the viral video with the title, ‘Moment Sevastopol Shaken by Horrific Explosions After Ukrainian Attack’ on March 24, 2024.

The video’s caption said, “The Ukrainian military reported that it had carried out a powerful attack on Russian military facilities in Sevastopol. The naval targets hit landing ships, communication hubs and infrastructure facilities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.”

Radio Free Europe Radio Liberty, a news website, said that 10 missiles were shot down during the attack, which killed one person and wounded four. We also found no reports of Iran attacking Israel.

Hence, we can ascertain that the viral video doesn’t show Iran attacking Israel.
