A video showing an aerial view of a massive crowd has gone viral on social media. Those sharing the video claim that it shows the massive attendance at a rally of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

A social media user shared the video with a caption that read, “Seeing this crowd, Modi Ji must have realised who Rahul is? (translated from Hindi)”

Fact Check

SouthCheck found that the claim is misleading. We found that the viral video shows the crowd at prime minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Maharajganj in Bihar.

On doing a Google reverse image search, we found the same video uploaded on PM Modi’s X handle on May 21, 2024. The video was shared with the caption, “The huge crowd in Maharajganj is telling that BJP-NDA in Bihar is getting unprecedented blessings from my family members here! (translated from Hindi)”

We further found that the same video was also uploaded on the X handle of the news agency, IANS on May 21, 2024. The caption stated that it was of Maharajganj in Bihar.

IndiaTV had also reported about the same Modi’s rally at Maharajganj in Bihar on May 21, 2024.

Hence, we conclude that the viral video shows PM Modi’s rally at Maharajganj in Bihar, not Rahul Gandhi’s rally.
