A shocking video showing a woman leaning out of a car window, stripping off her top and falling onto the road has gone viral. The footage shows passersby rushing to help the woman after she falls.
The video has been shared widely with captions alleging public indecency by youth in Indore's Vijay Nagar area.
A social media user shared the video with a caption that reads, “This happened near Satyasai crossroads in Vijaynagar Police Station area of Indore. This area is known for pubs and nightlife. Some girls and young men riding in a car late at night were making a ruckus. A young woman sitting in the car co-passenger (co-driver) seat took off her bra and started waving it in the air. A huge crowd of people gathered there after watching this drama.” (Translated from Hindi)
SouthCheck found the claim to be false. The viral video from a World Cup celebration in Colombia.
On a Google reverse image search, we found that the same video was shared by an X account on July 5, with a caption that reads, “Amid the celebrations for the Colombia National Team’s victory in Armenia, a woman starred in a dangerous incident by falling from a moving vehicle. While cheering at the party from the window, she lost her balance after taking off her bra, ending up on the ground.”
Taking a hint, we searched with relevant keywords and found that the screenshot of the video was also shared by a Turkish website, Haberler.com, on July 7.
The screenshot was shared with a caption that reads, “A young Colombian woman suffered minor injuries after falling from a moving car while celebrating topless following Colombia's 1-0 FIFA World Cup round-of-32 victory over Ghana in Armenia, Quindío, on Friday. She sustained abrasions and a concussion, was discharged the next day, and the driver was fined for allowing the dangerous stunt.”
The incident was also reported by the New York Post.
Hence, we can ascertain that the viral claim is false.
