Fact Check

SouthCheck found that the claim is misleading. In the original video, Kangana was quoting Congress leader Pratibha Singh.

On searching with appropriate keywords, we found an extended version of the video published by ETV Bharat on May 2, 2024. The report stated Kangana Ranaut was addressing a public meeting at Tattapani of Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh.

In the video, Kangana took a jibe at Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh and his mother Pratibha Singh, saying, “The son does not know how to respect women. At the same time, his mother Pratibha Singh said that the people who are coming to see Kangana will not vote for her. She said that they have only come to see ‘this beautiful fairy from Mumbai’. She forgot that I am not an object but the daughter of Himachal. This kind of language doesn’t suit them.”

Tribune India and Dainik Tribune also reported about the incident quoting Kangana talking about the two Congress leaders.

Hence, we conclude that the claim about Kangana accepting defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections is misleading.
