A post is being widely shared on social media in which there are two images; one image is of a boy and a girl standing together, and the other shows an injured girl.
The post is shared with a caption claiming that the girl in the viral images is a Hindu girl who fell in love with a Muslim boy and was assaulted by the same person.
A social media user shared the images with the caption that reads, “One more. Mera Abdul alag hai Saar.”
SouthCheck found that the claim is false. The girl in the image is injured because she was in an accident, and she is a Muslim. There is no communal angle involved in it.
On a Google reverse image search, we found that the same images were uploaded multiple times by a Facebook account named Adrita Azad Reety.
In one of the posts, Adrita had shared that she was a Muslim by birth and no one killed her; instead, she met with an accident. The caption read, “Woman reported that after a vehicular accident on April 17, 2025, her photos were misused on social media without her consent. Certain pages falsely claimed her husband assaulted her, framing it as a case of ‘love jihad’ by misrepresenting their religious identities. She and her husband have faced online harassment, including being added to abusive group chats. Despite filing a general diary with the local police and contacting cybercrime authorities, she received minimal assistance. Authorities downplayed the issue, suggesting it would resolve over time, leaving her distressed and seeking effective support.”
On April 18, 2025, her husband shared the viral image of her accident with the caption, “I’m Reety’s husband. Reety had an accident yesterday evening. A boy was skating on the road behind the Sony cineplex wearing a helmet and suddenly crashed into her. The boy’s helmet hit her right eye directly, and at that moment, her eyeglass shattered on her eye. Her right eye and the area around it were injured. The inside of the right side of her nose also tore, causing intense bleeding like a running tap. I rushed her to the hospital immediately. By morning, the bleeding from her nose had stopped, but now the clotted blood is draining into her throat and coming out through her mouth when she spits.
From the right side of her forehead down to the bottom of her cheek, the entire area is completely numb. Even when I touch her right cheek, she can’t feel any sensation at all. The second picture was taken last night, and the first one is from today. Reety narrowly escaped a far worse outcome. If the glass shards had gone deeper into her eyes, she could have lost her vision permanently. Allah truly protected her. She’s currently resting. Please keep her in your prayers for a full and speedy recovery."
Even the Bangladesh cyber security team shared the viral post on August 21, 2025, with a caption that suggests a woman reported that after a vehicular accident on April 17, 2025, her photos were misused on social media without her consent.
