Fact Check: Images of Jr. NTR wearing political party symbols on shirt is morphed

An image of actor Jr. NTR with political party symbols on his shirt, including the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) bicycle and the YSRCP fan, is being widely circulated amidst the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

Those sharing the images claim that they show Jr. NTR endorsing support for the parties.

Fact Check

South Check found that the claim is false as the viral images are morphed.

We started our investigation by running the viral image through a reverse image search. Our search led us to a media report in The Times of India titled ‘Jr NTR exudes style in a casual outfit as he lands in Mumbai for War 2 shoot with Hrithik Roshan’ published on April 21, 2024. The report carried the same photo of Jr NTR except that there is no bicycle or fan print on his white shirt.

As per the report, the photo was clicked by paparazzi at Mumbai Airport on April 21. The report said the actor was ‘a white shirt with denim jeans, black sunglasses, and black cap to the ensemble.’ This is the same outfit that Jr NTR is seen wearing in the viral image.  

We also found the same report on India Today and News 18. While they all featured the actor shot on camera at the airport with the same outfit, none of them mentioned a bicycle or a fan symbol on his shirt.

We also found an ANI video report titled ‘Jr NTR flaunts trendy ensemble at Mumbai airport’ dated April 22, 2024. He was wearing the same outfit as the previous reports. Click here and here to view more video reports.

Hence, it is evident that the viral images featuring actor Jr NTR with a TDP and YSRCP symbols on his shirt are morphed.
