The Israel-Iran war is intensifying, with Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis launching their first missile attack on Israel, signalling a widening regional conflict. Israel continues deep strikes on Iranian military sites, while Iran retaliates with missiles and drones across the region. Diplomatic efforts are ongoing, but no ceasefire has been reached and escalation risks remain high.
In the above context, a video is being widely shared on social media in which a gas plant is seen engulfed in a massive fire.
The video is shared with a caption suggesting that it shows Iran’s attack on a gas plant in Qatar in March 2026.
A text on it reads, “Iran’s attack on Qatar’s gas plant; this is where 47% of India’s gas comes from.”
SouthCheck found that the claim is false. The viral video is from 2025 and from South Korea where a massive fire tore through an E-Land logistics centre in Cheonan.
On a Google reverse image search, we found that the same video was shared by a Facebook page, CNA, on November 15, 2025.
The video is shared with a caption that reads, “A massive blaze destroyed one of South Korea’s largest fashion logistics centres in Cheonan, South Chungcheong province, on Saturday (Nov 15), burning millions of garments. No casualties were reported as the fire broke out hours before workers arrived.
Local media reports said it took more than nine hours to bring the main fire under control, with hotspots still burning for hours. About 430 firefighters, 150 vehicles and 11 helicopters were deployed in the firefighting operations.”
The video was also shared by a YouTube channel, The Straits Times, on November 17, 2025.
