The ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel escalated on February 28 when Israel, with support from the United States, launched major airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear sites. Iran retaliated with missile and drone attacks on Israeli cities and US bases in the region. The war has expanded across the Middle East, involving groups like Hezbollah and threatening global oil supplies and regional stability.

In the above context, a video is being widely shared on social media in which people are seen throwing bottles at attendants behind counters. They are also seen shouting and raising slogans. The video is shared with a caption claiming that Israelis in Tel Aviv are clashing at Ben Gurion Airport and demanding flight tickets to leave Israel.

A social media user shared the video with a caption that reads, “We want tickets, we want flights, we want to leave Israel. We will not stay until Iranian missiles crush us. Clashes now at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.”

Fact Check

SouthCheck found that the claim is false. The viral video is from 2025 and shows Israeli youth attacking Arab workers and shouting ‘Death to Arabs’ over popcorn in a cinema.

On a Google reverse image search, we found that the same video was shared by The Times of India on July 20, 2025.

The video is shared with a caption that reads, “Anti-Arab riots broke out inside Jerusalem’s Cinema City theatre on July 19. Footage showed Jewish youths trashing the theatre and clashing with the Arab employees of the theatre amid chants of ‘Death to Arabs.’ The Times of Israel reported that no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Watch this video to know more."

The incident was also reported by Albawaba, a Middle Eastern news website, on July 21, 2025.

The report had screenshots of the viral video and suggested that the video was from Jerusalem and shows Israeli youths chanting ‘Death to Arabs’ while throwing objects at Palestinian workers inside a cinema complex. The workers reportedly responded by throwing objects back. Three workers sustained minor injuries, and the suspects fled. Israeli police launched an investigation, while activists condemned the incident as racist violence

The incident was also reported by an Israeli website, The Daily File, on July 19, 2025.

Hence, we can ascertain that the viral video is from 2025 and unrelated to the ongoing Israel-Iran war.
