Haryana State Assembly Election results, declared on October 8, 2024, gave the BJP a third straight win defying the incumbency. While BJP got 48 out of 90 seats, Congress was able to manage just 37.

In the above backdrop, a video of Congress MP from Rohtak, Deepender Singh Hooda, being carried on shoulders by a crowd has gone viral. The Congress MP was seen wiping his eyes in the video, being shared with the claim that it shows him crying over the election results.

A social media user shared the video and wrote, “This was not expected by the people of Haryana. You should have shown some humanity. This guy had worked so hard! We forgot the farmers’ movement.” (Translated from Hindi)
