On October 27, a truck rammed a bus stop near Israel’s Tel Aviv, killing one person and injuring over 30 others.

In the above backdrop, social media users have been sharing a video of a truck running over a group of people claiming it shows the incident in Tel Aviv.

The video was shared on X with the caption: “Confirmed reports from the occ territories, 17+ killed & 50+ injured (mostly critical) Zionist soldiers from the 8200 spy unit in #Tel_Aviv Many stayed stuck under the truck for a long time. The hero went down and finished them off with a knife. See the cowards fleeing the stage. (sic)” (Archive)

Fact Check

SouthCheck found that the claim was false. The viral video is from 2017 when a Palestinian driver ran over Israeli soldiers in Jerusalem with a speeding truck.

On doing a Google reverse image search, we found the same video published by The Washington Post on January 8, 2017. The report stated that a Palestinian driver intentionally rammed his truck into a group of Israeli soldiers killing four and wounding a dozen in Jerusalem.

The video was also shared by Ain Hail News on January 8, 2017, which stated that the truck was intentionally run over the Israeli soldiers killing four. The video was also shared by a Spanish news website with the same details.

Hence, we can conclude that the viral video is old.
