SouthCheck found that the claim is false. The viral video is from Iraq, where a father was seen assaulting his daughter.
On a Google reverse image search, we found that the same video was shared by a YouTube channel on October 30, 2025. The caption associated with the video suggests that the shocking video of a father assaulting his daughter sparked outrage in Iraq.
We found that the screenshot of the video was shared by a news website too on October 30, 2025. The report associated with the screenshot suggests that a shocking video circulating online shows Iraqi police arresting a father in Baghdad after he brutally beat his young daughter with a hose. The child was taken into care and authorities launched legal action against the man.
We further found that the incident was also shared by the Facebook page of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior on October 30, 2025.
