A video is being widely shared on social media in which people of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh are seen marching on the streets.

Those sharing the video claim that the video is from Haryana where RSS members were seen marching on the streets to show support for the BJP in the State Assembly elections on October 1, 2024.

A social media user shared the video with the caption, “RSS in Haryana. It’s good to see that he is in hyper active mode now. All internal issues between RSS and BJP have been resolved. They know that motherland India is beyond any ego. Proud to be a volunteer.” (Translated from Hindi).

Fact Check

SouthCheck found the claim to be false. We found that the viral video is old and is from Kerala.

On doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found that the same video was uploaded by an Instagram page, Sangh Shakti on October 7, 2022. The caption suggested that the video was from Tanur, Malappuram district of Kerala.

Taking a hint, we did a geo-mapping on Google Maps for Tanur, Malappuram, and Kerala and found similarities between the places. For instance, a blue board there adjacent to which we can see a blue building. We can also see a green board with yellow text.

Hence, we can ascertain that the viral image is old and is from Kerala.
