The United States has sharply criticised Iran’s nuclear ambitions. US President Donald Trump warned Tehran it has about 10 days to reach a deal or face worse consequences, amid a major US military buildup and stalled negotiations.
A video of a military parade is being shared online with the claim that it shows Iran preparing to confront the United States and Israel. Text embedded on the video reads, “Iran shows their m!l!tary force in training earlier this night.”
A social media user shared the video and wrote, “Iran’s 800,000+ soldiers are on high alert”
On a Google reverse image search, we found that the same video was shared by an Instagram user on June 2, 2025.
The video is shared with a caption which, when translated into English, reads, “More than 40,000 Saudi security personnel have been deployed for the 2025 Hajj season and are ready to carry out their duties. The Saudi Hajj security forces are at the highest level of preparedness to respond to any threat to pilgrims, especially those that could disrupt the pilgrimage. Let’s pray that the pilgrims and Hajj workers are protected by Allah (SWT).”
Using this information, we searched with relevant keywords and found that a similar video was shared by another YouTube channel on June 6, 2025.
In this video, we can see army personnel wearing the same dress as in the viral video with faces painted with yellow and brown stripes. The caption associated with the video reads, “With millions set to arrive for the sacred Hajj pilgrimage, Saudi Arabian forces are undergoing specialised training to ensure safety, security, and smooth logistics. From crowd control to emergency response drills, these preparations are crucial for one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.”
The video was also shared by AlHadath, a YouTube channel, on June 1, 2025. In the video, at around 35 seconds, we can see army personnel wearing the same black dress as seen in the viral video.
Gulf News also reported on the drill on June 2, 2025.
According to the report, Saudi Arabia held a large-scale security drill ahead of Hajj 2025, featuring a parade of thousands of uniformed personnel, helicopter flyovers and tactical demonstrations in Mecca. The exercise, overseen by the Interior Minister, showcased readiness to protect millions of pilgrims and tested rapid response, crowd control and emergency systems as part of preparations for the annual pilgrimage.
Therefore, we conclude that the claim is false.
