Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed with a knife at his home by an intruder on January 16 in Mumbai. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital where he underwent surgery. He was discharged on January 21.

In the above backdrop, an image has gone viral in which Saif Ali Khan’s sister Soha Ali Khan can be seen praying with her husband and Bollywood actor Kunal Kemmu and their daughter. Those sharing the image claim it shows her praying for Saif after he returned home safely.

An X user shared the image and wrote, “Taimur, Jahangir’s uncle and Saif Ali Khan’s brother-in-law. Kunal Kemmu thanked God for his brother-in-law’s safe return from the hospital. Soha Ali Yadav can also be seen with folded hands beside him.” (Translated from Hindi)

SouthCheck found that the claim is false. The viral image is from 2021.

On a Google reverse image search, we found the same image published in an ABP News report dated November 4, 2021. The report was titled, ‘Diwali 2021: These Adorable Pics Of Soha Ali Khan-Kunal Kemmu's Daughter Inaaya Will Brighten Up Your Day.’ This hinted that the image is old and was part of Diwali celebrations.

A similar image was also shared by Amar Ujala.

The text in the ABP report read, “Bollywood couple Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu celebrated the festival of Diwali with full fervour and enthusiasm at their home. The two tinsel town stars took to social media to extend warm greetings to the fans and share a glimpse of their celebrations.”

Using this information, we scanned through Soha Ali Khan’s social media accounts and found the image that she posted on her Instagram account on November 4, 2021, with the caption, “May love and light illuminate every dark corner of your home and heart.”

Therefore, we conclude that the viral claim is false.
